Chocolate Anyone?

Yesterday evening, my daughter, son and their friend gathered in the kitchen and successfully on their own made Chocolate Covered Strawberries, Apple Slices, Raisins and Walnuts. What a simply sinful snack, which is semi-healthy. That is if you only count the calories in the fruit and nuts. But, Oh SO Delicious!!!!

In fact between the five of us this is all that is left. Sorry, I forgot to take pictures while they were making these or when they had finished before we all dived in for a taste. And when I say dived in, that is literally a true statement. With 3 teenagers and a Knight that is a chocoholic, I was afraid I wouldn't even get a small taste.  Be certain that this is already now consumed.

This snack is so very easy. You will need:
A package of Almond Bark
Fresh Fruit (Strawberries, Apples, Bananas)
Raisins (we used our own dehydrated raisins/grapes that we did ourselves, so much better than store bought)
Shelled Walnuts, pecans, or other variety of nut

Wash and dry fruit. Slice apple into 1/4" wedges. Melt the Almond Bark in a double boiler. Then dip strawberry tips and one end of the apples into the melted chocolate. Then place on waxed paper to harden. Once you have done all the apples and strawberries you want, then through in a handful of raisins and walnuts into the chocolate and stir to coat well. Then pour out onto the wax paper to harden. After chocolate has hardened, beware because everyone will want some.

These make a lovely platter to take to a family gathering, church event, or bible study.

Simple Ingredients + Easy to Do = A Recipe I Will Use Over and Over........Do you have an easy recipe like this you use a lot to take to gatherings?
