This week my Knight and I celebrated out 9th Wedding Anniversay. Boy, how does time fly by quickly? It seems like only yesterday I was in a rush to get all the details of a wedding together. I truely have found my soul-mate and best friend. I thank God for that each day. Now don't get me wrong, we have our moments where we totally get on each others nerves and have to have our own quite times. For the most part though we are together or calling each other or working together on a project or talking or whatver.
Here's Hoping that You have found or will find you Ture Love,

Fall Decor on the Cheap
Fall has got to be one of my most favorite seasons of the year. I love the deep rich colors that autumn brings with the cooler weather. I also enjoy bringing those colors into my home during the season. Here are a few of the vignettes that I have throughout out our home using items that I have recently found at thrift stores, GW (good will) store and/or Sal's Boutique (salvation army store).
Everything on this table I have found second-hand. I just love these two vintage chickens. Their colors work so well with Autumn. The one on the left I picked up at a consignment store. The one on the right I found at the GW store along with the ceramic pumpkin. The hurricane I got at Sal's.
These little guys I picked up at the GW store for only $.79.
Aren't they the cutest?
This scarecrow plate I found at the GW for only $1.oo. The scarecrow's smile makes me happy. I apologize to the poor quality of the picture.
These are just a few of the Fall vignettes that I have around my home. I would love to see how you have decorated your home for Fall.
Til next time,

Enjoying Time with My Knight
After enjoying a wonderful morning of worshiping our Savior and being reminded of our true identity in Christ, my Knight and I savored a great meal together at a local restaurant. Where we talked about the church service, a possible business venture (if God allows)and our up coming weeks obligations and work.
This is the day that the Lord has made; Let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalms 118:24
Here's to hoping you enjoy this Sabbath Day!

Recipe for a Happy Marriage
Welcome to our small spot on the web. This blog will be our family record of how we have been blessed on a daily basis through what the Lord has provided us with. We will share recipes, cooking and canning adventures, decorating, crafts and sewing projects, thrifty finds at garage sales and good-will stores, times shared with friends and family, passions and most of all the Blessings of the Lord. We welcome you to join us in this adventure of "Savouring A Blessed Life".
Let's start with a recipe for a happy marriage. There is probably no "true" recipe for a happy marriage, but I find that this one gets really close. You see even though I am married to the "Love of My Life", he was not my first husband. In fact, we both have been married before. We both come from previous relationships where there was no mutual communication. This does not a happy home make. Thus, we promised each other that we would make our marriage one built on open communication. We talk about everything: our children, our home, our jobs, our finances, our religion, our friends and family, our relationship, our future plans, .....You get the picture. Everything.
Because of this, He is truely my Best Friend in the world. I go to him with everthing and he listens with intense compassion and genuine concern. Thus, if I had to have only one ingredient for this recipe for a happy marriage it would be: commuication. But, if one truely wants a unbelievably great marriage that can be savoured throughly, then the recipe below will come pretty close. Here's to wishing you a wonderfully delicious Happy Marriage!
